One Touch Rezzors

I have added some one touch rezzors to the RSS and Public Works Garage Builds. These are located at 183/133/25 in the garage and 49/170/26 in the RSS. Like the name implies, one "touch" will create the change and another will reset it. The rezzors are arrowlike in appearance and change from green (off) to red (on) when touched. The rezzors that generate a roof are pointed up, the rezzor that changes the floor texture is pointed down.

Mercer, Warren, and Henderson County DVC

I am happy to announce that Nicole Krupkowski (Emergency Preparedness Assistant) has lead the way in Mercer, Warren, and Henderson Counties and completed an entire DVC setup within the gymnasium drop site at Public Health island.

In addition, Nicole and Molly Lamb (Emergency Response Coordinator at Illinois Department of Public Health) participated in a panel concerning usability in virtual worlds on CADE's 2020 Show on June 4th.

Here are links to some additional images and a video walkthrough of her setup.

"Rez All" Feature Upgrade

As of today, all aircraft containers used for H-Staging and D-Staging exercises have been upgraded to include "Rez All" functionality. The containers still activate on touch and the commands are listed in the User Interface Menu (blue menu in the upper right corner). The containers still allow you to remove one box at a time, but now include the "Rez All" option. By choosing "Rez All", the container will generate all of its contents into the picking area. The aircraft container can still be reset by touching it once more after all of the contents have been removed. As before, the contents must be manually deleted in order to remove them from the picking area.

Look for more upgrades to various exercise objects throughout the summer.

CHOICE BANK - New Exterior Drop Site

I have finished basic construction on the CHOICE BANK drop site location. This is a small branch office of the fictional CHOICE BANK CORPORATION.

The build covers 55 x 40 square meters and is a single story tall. The interior is constructed, but not built out. The rear of the bank features 3 teller stations (1 window and 2 tubes) and an ATM machine.

The build is currently unscripted.

The primary function for the build is as a drive-thru POD site.

Video Tutorial: Creating a sign texture

CADE recommends that you view this tutorial in the full screen setting. Press the full screen button on the bottom right corner of the video to see a full sized version.

Due to many requests, I have created a simple video tutorial to help you upload your own signs into Second Life for use with the 5 Foot Sign and Easel Sign objects. This tutorial requires Second Life, Paint, and $10L dollars (Second Life currency).

1.) Open Paint (Start>All Programs>Accessories>Paint)
2.) Select Image and then Attributes and set your size to 256x256 pixels
3.) Enter your text within the canvas.
4.) Select your text and move it into the center of the canvas.
5.) Save your image as a .jpg file (File>Save)
6.) Open Second Life and drag an Easel Sign from your Inventory
7.) Import your image (File>Import Image)
8.) Check your image in the preview and select Pay $10L to upload your texture
9.) A new box will appear, displaying your texture as an SL asset
10.) Left click on the image and drag it onto the sign portion of the Easel Sign
